A world leader in integrated railway systems and a promoter of sustainable mobility, Alstom Signalling, part of Alstom Transport UK, is developing and delivering some of the most advanced cutting edge technology in the Rail sector and is responsible for delivering a number of key projects safely, on time and to standard. Alstom Signalling has built a strong reputation within the Signalling Industry and we are looking for a number of Graduates in the following disciplines to help us continue on our journey:
Sourcing and Supply Chain
We want to hear from you if you are a recent graduate in an Engineering, Scientific, Technological, Maths or Project Management discipline who is driven, ambitious and passionate.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and be well organised, with the ability to use your own initiative and manage your own workload through to completion. You need to hold a strong work ethic and be able to work as part of an integrated team both under pressure and to deadlines.
When joining Alstom we don`t expect you to know everything about our technology or to have managed complex projects as we will provide you with an exciting opportunity to learn your skill both on the job and in an academic environment, what we do want from you is a passion to learn and to get the most out of every experience and opportunity.
During your three year Graduate Programme we will provide you with a unique opportunity that will develop your skills, expand your learning and grow your career. If you can match our enthusiasm for success apply now!
What do our current Graduates think?
Chris Kelly, Graduate Project Manager
“My current assignment is working on the Bristol project Control Tables. It is a challenging work, but I truly feel as if I’m providing value. Coming in as a graduate, management is there to support you, in ensuring that they challenge you and ensure you take ownership and responsibility of key projects which are critical to business operations. In the Alstom graduate scheme, there’s a lot of development, a lot of training and they have definitely invested in me as a graduate to help me develop as a person.” Micky Kwachie, Graduate Data Designer
Charlotte Pelosi – 1st Year Graduate
Being a graduate, you always expect to be treated that little bit differently as our experience and expertise is lacking. However I have not only felt part of the company, I have felt like I am making a difference and actually contributing to this fast, ever-growing business.
I have come so far in the last nine months, from just coming out of university, into the scary world we call reality, not knowing a thing, to today. To working a REAL job, a job that I look forward to attending 5 days a week.
The friends I have met along the way and now to be undertaking a masters as well just makes it even better. I cannot wait to see what the future brings with Alstom. I feel I have a job for life.
